Telepathy means 'feelings over a distance'. Telepathy is the direct transmission of emotions or mental imagery from one person to another without using words, sight, hearing, touching, tasting, or smelling.

Telepathic communication is therefore communication on another level entirely. Indeed, many animal trainers and scientists researching the ways animal communicate have become convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt that animals are using telepathic communications in addition to other means of reaching each other, and sometimes their telepathic communications extend over vast distances.

Some anthropologists are also fully convinced that there are some primitive tribes who today can still use the power of telepathy to communicate with one another.

Telepathy may not be as obscure as some may think it is. Telepathy is not just an inherited trait, it should be something that is nurtured and developed at a young age just like the dialect we speak. Just because a child has problems with learning, we should not out rightly say that they can not learn, we must train them in another way. This is the same with telepathy, it may require new techniques to learn to be telepathic, but it can be done.

While humans have kept their other senses; sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste, the sense of telepathy is no longer evident in modern humanity.

Some people consider this another sense altogether. That is considered to be the sixth sense to many. It also comes in many other names depending on the era and region. It is now basically considered an instinct.

‘Gut feeling’ is often a term that is used when someone thinks they are getting an idea, good or bad, as to how something is going to happen. You also have heard the stories of premonitions that were experienced by one family member or another about their child or sibling that was possibly in danger. These stories go on and on and they are merely dismissed as coincidence when in fact they are a form of telepathy. By definition, they fit the description to a tee.

It is felt that with the advent of Christianity and Muslim religions, humans began to lose their sense of telepathy or sixth sense. This is because these religions have claimed that this gift or sense was a vice of the darker powers of the world and not a positive and natural ability. This type of censorship has effectively helped to eradicate the sixth sense from existence and we no longer trust our telepathic ability.

When we have a telepathic occurrence, we now associate it with a higher power instead of within ourselves. We feel that the higher power we believe in is the reason for our instincts and abilities.

Because of the celestial quality of formalized religious gods, whether they be Christian, Jewish or Muslim, most of the traditional influential people have nixed the idea of telepathy as it does not fit in with faith of said gods. It is rare, but more modern day theology pursuers are beginning to realize that telepathy may indeed exist.

It is to be said that modern science does not accept the statement that telepathy does exist. Perhaps they have closed their minds to the concept entirely. It is hard to say as scientists do accept intuition which is a form of telepathy. It may be because it has been rendering so far out of normal human existence that they can not open their minds to this event being an actuality.


Perhaps it is just a form of jealousy on their part. They do not have the ability to be telepathic so they automatically discount it. They can laugh, they can cry so they believe in that but they, unlike some do not have the ability to communicate silently so they say it does not exist.

As to why humanity began losing touch with telepathy at all, perhaps it's as simple as the Tower of Babylon story--perhaps the languages that were confused by God or the gods were not just those of speech but also the language of telepathy.

The Real Secrets You Need to Know About Telepathy

Telepathy is thought to many things including instinct and intuition. In reality, it the communication without using speech, writing or hand signs. It is, at its base, mental communication.

Because of the nature of telepathy, it is viewed as communication that is not on our plane. While humans have lost most of their natural telepathic ability, animals have retained their telepathic ability. Most of those people who work with animals swear that they exhibit some form of mental telepathy within their group unit. How is it that birds always know when to fly south or north for seasons? Ok, instinct has something to do with it, but how about how an entire flock will suddenly take flight when a predator is around with out making a sound? Surely they do not all see or sense the threat? It may well be that there is a telepathic link that when one bird feels the danger it is telepathically communicated to the other birds of the flock.

Some anthropologists claim that the practice of telepathy is far different from the strange, esoteric subject that most people believe it to be. The evidences they collected through their years of studying the culture of primitive tribes convinced many anthropologists that telepathy is one of the disciplines that ancient civilizations have passed on to the next generations.

Telepathy does not need to be feared nor it is very well understood, but it is apart of every humans make up. Many have had telepathic experiences without even knowing it. Maybe it was taught to young children of primitive civilizations they way we teach our children today to speak and read. If one had difficulty, there were probably shown ways to over come the difficulty in learning to use telepathy.

Hence, everyone in us who could not practice telepathy is experiencing defectiveness to learning the skills it requires to be practiced.

Telepathy is a human ability that is as natural as our five senses. It was even regarded as the sixth sense or the third eye. It is a powerful means of communication that makes use of the most powerful part of the human body, the human mind.

There are many ways that modern humans may now experience forms of telepathy. The instinct that we all think of a gut reaction. In an even more base level, when a woman is pregnant, the baby can not tell the mother what nutrients it is lacking. Instead, the baby communicates telepathically by sending out cravings to the mother. Not all cravings are the funny ice cream and pickle types. The mother generally gets cravings that are vitamins and nutrients that may not be normal in her every day diet. By sending out these telepathic thoughts, the baby can communicate it’s need to the mother without having to speak directly to the mother.

While there is no real answer as to why humans lost touch with telepathic powers, but it's usually because we just stopped believing. Then of course there are many religions out there that don't believe this is a transcendent power from God. Instead religions like Christianity and Islam believe this to be a Satanic tool that has possessed the person with demonic powers.

Because formal religion has gained in power over the last hundreds of years, many have been trained to put their thoughts and beliefs into their religion instead of into their own inner powers. By idolizing religious icons, the church has gained some power over the faith of its followers.

The early organized religious leaders were afraid to do the telepathy resulting to a great change in the thoughts about it. In order for their followers to eliminate the philosophy of telepathy in their lives, they forced the people to put their trust on the religious icons. But not everyone was convinced. Some were able to learn and develop the language of telepathy which made the telepathy still existing up to now.

Telepathy is not thought of as a genuine article by most in the scientific community. Science is about discovery so perhaps one day soon there will be real tests that can be conducted to prove or disprove the theory that telepathy does exist. Science has not yet come up with any to do this, nor is it believed that telepathy exists so they do not bother even trying to test for it.

But scientists wholly believed that emotions and instincts exist. This could be because they can feel and experience emotions and instincts themselves, that’s why they claim it to be true. They also explain that animals have emotions and instincts too. But emotions and instincts are actually much harder to understand than telepathy.

It may be a simple human emotion that is keeping the scientific community from acknowledging that telepathy is an actual sense. If it has been discounted before, some scientist will choose not to figure out for themselves whether it exists or not due to pride.

Have the gods chosen that we do not need telepathy any more or have just lost the ability over time? It is hard to say, but it is known that humanity, at one time, was telepathic.
