Psychics And Telepathy

Telepathy is defined as the ability to sense feelings over a distance. That is, the ability to directly transmit images or emotions from one person to another without using the bulk of your normal senses: taste, smell, sight, touch and hearing.

Because of the nature of telepathy, it is viewed as communication that is not on our plane. While humans have lost most of their natural telepathic ability, animals have retained their telepathic ability. Most of those people who work with animals swear that they exhibit some form of mental telepathy within their group unit. How is it that birds always know when to fly south or north for seasons? Ok, instinct has something to do with it, but how about how an entire flock will suddenly take flight when a predator is around with out making a sound? Surely they do not all see or sense the threat? It may well be that there is a telepathic link that when one bird feels the danger it is telepathically communicated to the other birds of the flock.

When looking back to primitive times, anthropologists believe that some ancient tribes made use of the ability of telepathy and still have the ability to do so today. While it is sometimes equated to be far fetched, that is obviously not the case. The perception of telepathy needs to be one that is possibly inherited and an ability that can be learned. It is just like learning to communicate with a new language or learning anything new for that matter. Just because you can’t do it, does not mean that it does not exist. Maybe you are the one that is a little lacking on your learning abilities! With modern times being what they are, our society has all but lost their natural abilities of telepathic power. These abilities are deep inside of everyone and are just as natural as the ability to speak, listen to music and respond and using your common 5 senses. Telepathy has often been called the 6th sense. You may have also heard it called the third eye. While these are not nearly the same thing, they are both linked to the ability of being telepathic. Have you ever had a gut feeling? We all have so it is nothing out of the ordinary. You hear stories of mothers who felt that their daughter was in danger on the other side of the country or of twins that could sense that something was amiss with their other half. This gut feeling or instinct is actually a form of telepathy. You may not want to admit it but there is no real argument here. You are experiencing the exact definition of what telepathy is!

Telepathy may not be as obscure as some may think it is. Telepathy is not just an inherited trait, it should be something that is nurtured and developed at a young age just like the dialect we speak. Just because a child has problems with learning, we should not out rightly say that they can not learn, we must train them in another way. This is the same with telepathy, it may require new techniques to learn to be telepathic, but it can be done.

While humans have kept their other senses; sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste, the sense of telepathy is no longer evident in modern humanity.

Some may know about our sixth sense, the intuition as some call it. The idea of telepathy may have just shifted to be called by a new name.

This instinct can manifest itself in many ways and can be regarded as telepathic in nature by some. I am sure we have all heard the instances of people who are just getting ready to board a flight for a planned trip, just to get a weird feeling and then decided to not to get on the plane. When they get home there are news stories of the flight they were about to take being in a bad crash with few survivors. Did that person who chose not to fly have a telepathic insight? What made them decide not to fly that day? Some might say it is a survival instinct that we all have. Others will say it was a telepathic intuition that made them feel the danger ahead and that is what made them falter and not get on the plane.

Because of the elusive nature of telepathy in more modern societies, many may not feel that telepathy even exists, but that is their chosen god who is sending signals of warning or messages for them personally. This can benefit churches and organized religions who use this as an aid in spreading the word of their god.

It may be that as the world population grew, our need for telepathy began to wane as our survival was not dependent upon it and putting this sense on to a higher power made more sense at the time.

There are a few religions that do follow the ancient paths and within these religions, telepathy is not feared. In fact in some of the older religions, it is embraced and has become a tool for those religions. There are no set leaders to tell the congregation that telepathy is a tool of the devil, instead they congregation themselves choose what they will practice.
