The Magic Of Telepathy
Telepathy can have many meanings to many people, the simply put
definition is that it is being able to feel what another feels
without being around them. This must be done without being able to
see them, hear them, or touch them physically.
Telepathic communication is therefore communication on another level
entirely. Indeed, many animal trainers and scientists researching
the ways animal communicate have become convinced beyond the shadow
of a doubt that animals are using telepathic communications in
addition to other means of reaching each other, and sometimes their
telepathic communications extend over vast distances.
It is believed that many natives who have not been modernized may be
able to share ideas through telepathy. This is an amazing
observation in this technical day and age.
Even though telepathy is not a widely spoken about, it is not as
uncommon as you might think. This used to be a regular occurrence in
human behavior. Just as much as what your native tongue or what you
look like depends on where and who you are born to, telepathy used
to be the same. It is thought that those who do not naturally feel
the telepathy, can be trained to remember it again. That most just
have a learning problem as someone with dyslexia has a problem with
letters and numbers.
One of the abilities it is thought we had as humans long ago was
telepathy, but that has evolved out of our consciousness. It is felt
that this sixth sense was as normal as the other senses.
As mentioned before, telepathy has some times gone by the sixth
sense. Another common analogy for telepathy is the third eye. This
is the eye that sees beyond our normal vision.
People all the time experience 'gut feelings' that turn out to be
accurate guideposts, feel as if someone is looking at them from
behind (which turns out often to be true), have intuitive
perceptions about another person that largely turn out to be
accurate, have a 'strange feeling' that someone they haven't been in
touch with in a while is going to contact them or visit them and it
happens, get the feeling that someone they love is in danger and it
turns out to be true (this most commonly happens between mother and
child, but it's not limited to that), and so on. These are all
aspects of telepathy.
It may be wondered by some when did we stop having more profound
telepathy as opposed to intuition. More formalized religion can
surely take some of the blame. Most forms of structured religious
beliefs do not adhere to the fact that telepathy exists, instead it
is assumed and associated with darker cultures. This gives the
common man a fear of what telepathy can do that may be evil.
Because of the nature of these older religions and the stigma of
telepathy, it is hard for some to have any thoughts of telepathy
even truly existing. The only faith any more is in specific
religious leaders or prophets instead of putting faith in themselves
as people.
Religion first brought about the change in thoughts of telepaths as
it was fearful for the early organized religious leaders. By
eradicating any trace of this element of human nature, they force
the trust onto religious icons instead. Of course this is not true
with everyone, or we would not even know that telepathy is a genuine
talent.
Scientists have a basic need to be able to explain any event.
Because of the elusive nature of telepathy, they do not believe it
exists even though many people have had these experiences in their
lives. A lot of testing has been done on known telepaths but still
the scientific community as a whole has discounted these
revelations. They assume there is some type of hoax involved as some
of these tests have not been in controlled situations.
It is hard to explain why there is no scientific belief in
telepathy. Other senses can be felt by every human being, yet
telepathy is only well known to just a small portion of the world.
But even with the proofs in place, some will just refuse to believe
or even contemplate the existence of telepathy. Some other things
that require a trust in a sense to believe in are widely accepted,
such as animal instincts.
Whether scientists choose to call it instinct or just refuse to
believe because they do not experience it themselves is mute, the
point is it just because you do not feel it does no mean it does not
exist.
As to why humanity began losing touch with telepathy at all, perhaps
it's as simple as the Tower of Babylon story--perhaps the languages
that were confused by God or the gods were not just those of speech
but also the language of telepathy.
