Telepathy And Extra Sensory Powers
Did you know that telepathy is something that you are completely capable of? In this sense, telepathy is the known as the mind to mind communication that occurs without any use of the five recognized physical senses. It is often done without words, and can even be performed over long distances.
Many people believe that they cannot learn telepathy, but they are wrong. Chances are, you have even done it before, and not know what was happening? Have you ever thought about someone that you have not spoken to or even thought of until that moment, and then just a little bit later you get a call or a letter from them? You may not have spoken in ages, but suddenly, like magic, there they are!
Essentially, a telepathic connection was established that day. Emotions came into play, and your wish to hear about that person or to figure out what they have been up to translated itself into a connection that you “communicated” your wish through.
This contact was why the other person decided to get in touch. Perhaps you were the one to think of them first. When they received your feelings, they decided it was time to get back in contact. Maybe they were the one to signal you, and you thought of them, returning information that made them feel like they should contact you. You may even have been the one to pick up on their idea to contact you before they were able to do it.
There are lots of reasons that people feel that they might not be able to learn telepathy. They may have had a religious upbringing that taught them that telepathy is sorcery or belonging to the devil. If this is the case, they are probably quite willing to suppress any sort of telepathic experience that they ha or to simply refuse to recognize them. People might also be reluctant to believe in anything that doesn't have a scientific backing, but the truth is that there definitely is!
You'll find that one of the things that might keep you from learning telepathy is the same thing that many people who practice it believe. They believe that at one point, telepathy dominated over the way that we communicate, but over time, though the telepathic ability decayed and spoken language was adopted to replace it. The truth of the matter, however, is that telepathy and the spoken word are complementary to one another; they go together like lyrics and music.
In this context, think of spoken word as the lyrics and of telepathy as the music. Both can be heard on their own, but they enhance the other. Words will tell you more directly what the telepathic feelings are all about and this is why they came about in the first place. Over the the ages, though, people became so dependent on the word that they forgot how to develop their telepathic abilities.
So, if you're interested in getting closer to other people and opening up your senses, you should learn telepathy. It's not as hard as it sounds to people who don't know how to do it. Just like everything else, what's needed is practice.
The first thing you need to do is find a good partner - preferably someone you've been friends with for a long time. Your partner needs to also be open minded about the idea of telepathy, and should ideally be someone who's just as interested in learning how to be telepathic as you are. That's because positive reinforcement is extremely important when you're just beginning.
The next step is to separate from each other. At least make it so that you can't see each other. Ideally, you should be in a place where you can't easily hear each other either. Get relaxed. Stretch out a little and start taking deep breaths. Clear your mind of the stress and the worry that might have been bothering you all day. Make sure that you have a way to get a hold of each other, either through a phone or an Internet chat program or a webcam.
Agree on which one of you will start the practice, then visualize the other person as clearly as you possibly can in your mind. Picture a connection between you - examples include fields of glowing golden light or a thread of light between you, connecting your minds.
Using that thread or that cloud, you are going to send an image, like sending a fax or an email. Make sure that your thoughts are clear and that at the beginning, the stay simple. Picture something clearly, like a photograph or an object that you have on your desk. Concentrate on them seeing that picture.
Once you feel that your telepathic transmission has been completed, contact your partner via cell phone and ask what they saw from your mind, if anything. Compare notes, then switch who's sending and who's receiving.
At the very beginning, don't worry if you can't go much beyond fifteen minutes or so. This can be tiring and one way to keep from exhausting yourself is to keep the initial sections brief. Don't let despair and negative feelings settle in, so no matter what your results were, just keep trying!
If you'd like to learn telepathy, the biggest thing to remember is that your mind must remain positive about the idea. Don't give up until you begin to see results. You'll find yourself entering a new, amazing world.
